Figuring Things Out

This is my first time creating a blog, although I have read plenty. The site is clearly a breeze to navigate, I'm sure students would generally find it to be easy as well. I'm curious what you think the possibilities of blogs are in your classrooms? What are the benefits of a online journal environment where others can respond? What about ones where others cannot respond but only read others' thoughts or ideas? What are the disadvantages?
